Tonight, we celebrate a milestone occasion at Majlis SIRIM Industri 2024—SIRIM’s signature annual event, hosted at the distinguished Sunway Resort Hotel! With the theme “ESG: Driving 50 Years of Change,” we are honoured to welcome YBhg. Datuk Bahria Mohd Tamil, representing YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, to officially open the event.

This year’s event unveils the highly anticipated SIRIM ESG Holistic Ecosystem—an all-encompassing initiative designed to empower Malaysian industries to drive sustainable transformation and support Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050. Through innovative certifications, tailored training, and expert technical support, the ESG Holistic Ecosystem enables businesses to adopt world-class ESG practices, fostering resilience and sustainable growth in a competitive global market.
The evening’s highlight is our prestigious awards ceremony, recognising 17 outstanding companies for their pioneering achievements in ESG standards. Honorees include trailblazers in the SIRIM 55 ESG Management System, ESG Verification Assurance, and transformative certifications such as Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR). Special honours go to Medivest Sdn Bhd as the first to achieve certification in EPR, and to Jabatan Premier Sarawak Unit Transformasi & Inovasi Sarawak as the first government agency in Sarawak to attain ISO 9001 certification—a recognition entered in the Malaysia Book of Records!
